Hungary's government has ordered a comprehensive audit of its contracts with 4iG Group while reviewing the firm's role in a major EU satellite initiative.

The Hungarian government has launched an extensive audit into all ownership, financial, and contractual relations between the state and technology conglomerate 4iG Group. Published in the official gazette, the decree places all state contracts with the firm under scrutiny. In tandem with the probe, a strict gag order was imposed, barring ministry officials from commenting publicly on matters concerning 4iG.

Science and Technology Minister Zoltán Tanács reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to invest €500 million in the European Union's IRIS² satellite infrastructure. However, officials are reassessing whether 4iG will retain its management role in public tenders associated with the project. 4iG responded cautiously to the developments, reiterating its status as a "partner" to the state.
