European security warnings grow following Danish sabotage alerts and investigations into Leipzig airport explosive suspects, amid escalating strikes on energy infrastructure.

European security concerns have intensified following warnings from Danish intelligence services that Moscow is preparing industrial sabotage against domestic infrastructure. The alert coincides with ongoing investigations into explosive devices discovered at Leipzig airport, where authorities identified two suspects linked to Russia, including a Belarusian national and a Latvian passport holder. Reports indicate the Belarusian suspect acquired a Schengen visa through Italian administrative channels, though security officials noted he did not enter Italy.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced renewed strikes targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The campaign follows increased Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian fuel refineries, which have disrupted Moscow's domestic supply and forced foreign imports. Responding to potential hybrid threats across the bloc, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated, "We will not tolerate attacks on EU soil, ready to respond."
