European security alerts intensify after German authorities identify suspects in the Leipzig airport incident amid ongoing infrastructure strikes between Russia and Ukraine.

German authorities have identified two suspects linked to explosive devices discovered at Leipzig airport, including a Belarusian national who obtained a Schengen visa through Italy. Italian security officials noted that the individual did not physically pass through Italy.

Concurrently, Russia's defense ministry announced a renewed campaign targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Kyiv responded by intensifying drone strikes against Russian oil facilities, which have disrupted local fuel supplies and forced Moscow to import petrol from abroad.

The escalating attacks coincide with warnings from Danish intelligence services regarding potential Russian sabotage operations against European industrial targets, prompting European Commission leaders to reinforce warnings against hybrid threats on bloc territory.
