European Union leaders warned of rising Russian hybrid actions as Moscow targets Kyiv with drone strikes and threatens Ukraine's energy grid.

European Union officials and regional intelligence agencies have heightened warnings regarding Russian hybrid operations following recent security incidents. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the bloc "will not tolerate attacks on EU territory" and remains prepared to respond.

The statement comes as Danish intelligence warned of potential Russian sabotage targeting domestic industrial infrastructure, and authorities identified two suspects linked to an explosive drone incident at Leipzig airport. Meanwhile, Russian forces launched a third consecutive night of drone strikes on Kyiv. Moscow's defense ministry announced plans for large-scale strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, describing the campaign as retaliation for recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.
