EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned against sabotage on European soil following drone incidents in Germany, as Russian strikes targeted Ukraine's energy grid.

Russian forces initiated fresh drone attacks against Kyiv, injuring a woman, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address at the United Nations General Assembly. Moscow's defense ministry subsequently announced a campaign aimed at destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Simultaneously, Ukrainian strikes targeted Russian oil refineries, severely impacting domestic fuel supplies and forcing Moscow to import fuel.

In Germany, authorities identified two suspects linked to Moscow regarding explosive drone incidents near Leipzig. Responding to growing security threats across the continent, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated, "We will not tolerate attacks on EU soil," adding that the bloc remains prepared to respond.
