Denmark warns of Russian sabotage risks as Europe faces heightened hybrid threats and ongoing energy infrastructure strikes.

Danish intelligence services have warned that Russia is preparing to carry out industrial sabotage on domestic infrastructure, adding to growing European concern over Moscow's hybrid warfare tactics. The alert coincides with the identification of two suspects linked to explosive devices discovered at Leipzig airport, including a Latvian-passport holder and a Belarusian national who reportedly acquired a Schengen visa via Italian administrative channels without traveling through Italy.

Concurrently, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced a renewed strike campaign targeting Ukrainian energy facilities. The escalation follows intensified Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries, which have disrupted domestic fuel supplies and forced Moscow to import fuel. In response to potential threats within Europe, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reaffirmed the bloc's stance, stating, "We will not tolerate attacks on EU soil, ready to respond."
