European nations heighten security following Russian hybrid threats and airport drone probes, as Moscow announces upcoming mass strikes against Ukraine's energy grid.

European security agencies remain on high alert following reports of escalating Russian hybrid operations and continued military aggression in Ukraine. German investigators identified two suspects—a Russian citizen with Latvian documentation and a Belarusian national—in connection with an explosive drone incident at Leipzig airport. Concurrently, Danish intelligence warned that Moscow is prepared to target domestic industrial infrastructure. Addressing the rising security threats across member states, European leadership reiterated that attacks within the bloc will not be tolerated.

Meanwhile, Russian forces launched a third consecutive night of drone strikes against Kyiv, igniting several fires across the Ukrainian capital. Russian defense officials announced plans for mass strikes against Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing the planned campaign as retaliation for Ukrainian raids on Russian oil facilities.
