Donald Trump signals intention to run for third presidential term in 2028

U.S. President Donald Trump donned a 'Trump 2028' hat at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and announced his intention to seek a third term.
During his speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, U.S. President Donald Trump donned a red hat bearing the slogan "Trump 2028" and declared his intention to seek a third presidential term. Addressing attendees, Trump claimed he had already won three elections and expressed confidence in running again in 2028.
The announcement came towards the end of an hour-long address, during which he teased reporters with a prospective political scoop regarding his future plans. Under the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, presidents are limited to serving two terms, making a third bid constitutionally prohibited without legislative changes.
