Deadly Russian strikes hit Ukrainian regions amid fierce eastern clashes

Russian forces have launched extensive drone and shelling attacks across several Ukrainian regions, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 60 over a 24-hour span.

Ukrainian authorities reported that around 180 drones targeted locations across the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Emergency responders in Dnipropetrovsk confirmed five fatalities and 16 injuries following dozens of strikes on Kamianske, Pavlohrad, and Nikopol districts. A drone strike near Kryvyi Rih hit a petrol station, killing three people, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, combat intensified on the eastern front line. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that its forces captured the settlements of Toretsk and Vasyutinske in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian military officials reported ongoing intense battles across the area.
