Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers has unanimously approved a draft decision to ratify an agreement with Croatia for the construction of the South Interconnection gas pipeline. Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković confirmed that the draft was adopted by consensus following a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The bilateral agreement aims to connect the gas transmission networks of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, enhancing regional energy security and diversifying gas supply routes. The foundational agreement for the cross-border infrastructure project was previously signed on April 28 in Dubrovnik by Borjana Krišto, the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with Croatian representatives.
