Binance announced it has secured or replaced 90 percent of the $6.3 billion stolen in a recent cyberattack, using internal reserves to reimburse affected users.

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced that it has secured or replaced approximately 90 percent of the assets stolen during a recent $6.3 billion cyberattack. According to company statements, roughly $6.34 billion from internal reserves has been allocated to cover user losses.

The remaining 10 percent of missing assets consists of less liquid tokens, which representatives noted may take longer to acquire in required quantities. Stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle also supported recovery efforts by freezing digital assets linked to the breach. Binance reiterated its intention to fully compensate affected customers, though media reports underscored that the breach highlights ongoing security vulnerabilities across digital asset exchanges.
