Binance says it has secured or replaced 90 percent of the $6.3 billion lost in a recent cyberattack, using internal reserves to cover customer losses.

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced it has secured or replaced approximately 90 percent of the funds lost in a recent $6.3 billion cyberattack. According to the platform, roughly $6.34 billion from internal reserves was allocated to compensate user losses.

The remaining 10 percent of missing assets consists of less liquid tokens, which company representatives stated may require additional time to acquire. Stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle also assisted by freezing associated digital assets to limit further damage. Binance reaffirmed its commitment to fully cover all customer losses, though the incident has renewed scrutiny regarding security vulnerabilities across digital asset platforms.
