Alleged cartel leader Daniel Kinahan has been extradited from Dubai to Dublin on an Irish government jet and remanded in custody on criminal organisation charges.

Alleged Irish cartel leader Daniel Kinahan has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Ireland under a major security operation. Irish authorities deployed a government aircraft to transport the 49-year-old suspect from Dubai to Casement Aerodrome near Dublin following his detention by UAE officials.

Upon his arrival, Kinahan appeared in court charged with directing a criminal organisation and was remanded in custody. Law enforcement agencies in Europe, the United States, and the Gulf had sought Kinahan for years over his alleged leadership of a global drug trafficking and money laundering network. He will be held in a high-security prison while awaiting trial.
