US indicts five alleged Russian agents over global plot to kill Ukraine allies
US prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives over a global campaign targeting allies of Ukraine, as Denmark reports domestic sabotage.
Federal prosecutors in the United States have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with conspiring to execute targeted killings and sabotage across Europe and North America.
According to court filings unsealed in Manhattan, the covert network paid individuals to conduct surveillance and launch attacks on targets linked to Kyiv, including an operation in Prague in June 2024. All five suspects remain at large.
Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service revealed at a security conference in Copenhagen that Moscow has carried out physical sabotage targeting domestic defense manufacturers supplying military equipment to Ukraine. Officials framed the incidents as an escalation of Russian hybrid warfare designed to undermine Western support.
