US charges five alleged Russian agents over global sabotage and murder plots
US authorities have charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of orchestrating targeted assassinations and physical sabotage across Europe and North America.
Federal prosecutors in the United States have unsealed an indictment against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of directing a global network to carry out targeted killings and sabotage. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the network recruited individuals across North America and Europe to track and eliminate supporters of Ukraine.
The charges detail several covert operations, including a June 2024 attack in Prague and attempts to finance terrorism. All five suspects remain at large. Simultaneously, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service stated that Russian actors carried out physical sabotage against Danish defense contractors supplying Kyiv.
