US prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian operatives with plotting assassinations and sabotage against Ukraine supporters, as Denmark reports Russian attacks on defense firms.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with plotting targeted assassinations and sabotage across North America and Europe. According to federal authorities, the network hired operatives worldwide to conduct surveillance and execute attacks against individuals and entities supporting Ukraine, including a June 2024 operation in Prague.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service stated at a Copenhagen conference that Russian actors executed direct sabotage against Danish defense firms supplying military hardware to Kyiv. Danish officials described the incidents as an escalation in Moscow's hybrid warfare strategy. All five suspects charged in the American indictment remain at large.
