Ukrainian troops advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian forces claim progress near Sumy and deny Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia.

Heavy military activity persists across multiple Ukrainian fronts as both sides report contrasting developments. North of Kupiansk, Ukrainian forces are advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River, while Ukrainian authorities prepare to announce the recapture of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. In contrast, Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed its troops seized several settlements near Sumy and targeted ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region. Meanwhile, on the southern Zaporizhzhia front, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov personally refuted reports of recent Ukrainian advances, denying any tactical gains in the sector.
