Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman while Russia claims gains near Sumy and refutes Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Fierce fighting continues along multiple sectors of the front line in Ukraine, with both sides presenting contrasting accounts of tactical movements.

Ukrainian troops have reportedly made gains north of Kupiansk along the right bank of the Oskil River. Ukrainian officials are also anticipated to confirm the recovery of approximately 200 square kilometers of territory surrounding Lyman.

In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed that its forces secured several settlements on the approaches to Sumy. Russian strikes also targeted ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region. Meanwhile, in the southern Zaporizhzhia sector, Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov personally rejected claims of Ukrainian tactical progress.

Military operations remain ongoing across the eastern and southern fronts.
