Ukrainian troops advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russia claims settlements near Sumy and denies Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia.

Fighting continues across multiple frontlines as both sides report distinct tactical developments. Ukrainian forces are advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with military reports anticipating the liberation of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Conversely, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its forces seized several settlements on the approaches to Sumy.

In the southern Zaporizhzhia region, General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, publicly dismissed reports of Ukrainian operational progress, maintaining that Russian defensive lines remain secure. Meanwhile, overnight aerial bombardment targeted and damaged ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
