Ukraine's outgoing Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko accused NABU chief Semen Kryvonos of forgery before fleeing abroad, as Zelenskyy urged parliament to fast-track Kravchenko's removal.

Tensions in Ukraine have escalated following accusations by outgoing Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko against Semen Kryvonos, director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU). In a Telegram video statement, Kravchenko announced charges alleging Kryvonos committed document forgery for financial gain and orchestrated a fake adoption to evade legal scrutiny.

In response, NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) denied that Kryvonos had been officially served. The agencies characterized Kravchenko's claims as a distraction aimed at undermining ongoing investigations into a criminal network involving current and former lawmakers, alongside Presidential Office officials.

Following his video announcement, reports indicated Kravchenko crossed the Ukrainian border in a state-owned vehicle. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy subsequently requested parliament to accelerate Kravchenko's official dismissal from office.
