Ukraine's prosecutor general accused NABU's director of forgery before departing the country, while anti-corruption agencies denied receiving charges.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced he signed a notice of suspicion against Semen Kryvonos, director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), alleging document forgery and a sham adoption to evade prosecution. The NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) rejected the claims, stating Kryvonos was never formally served and describing the announcement as an attempt to disrupt inquiries into a criminal group involving current and former lawmakers alongside presidential office officials.

Following his video statement, Kravchenko reportedly left Ukraine in an official vehicle. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy subsequently asked parliament to expedite Kravchenko’s removal from office.
