Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko accused NABU Director Semen Kryvonos of forgery before leaving the country, prompting President Zelenskyy to call for Kravchenko's dismissal.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko signed a notice of suspicion against National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Director Semen Kryvonos, accusing him of document forgery and orchestrating a sham adoption to avoid prosecution.

NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) denied that Kryvonos received official charges. The agencies characterized the accusations as an effort to disrupt ongoing investigations into a criminal network involving current and former parliamentarians, as well as staff from the Office of the President.

Shortly after delivering a video statement, Kravchenko reportedly departed Ukraine in an official vehicle. In response, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked parliament to quickly approve Kravchenko's dismissal.
