Heavy fighting continues across Ukraine's front line, with over 220 daily combat engagements reported alongside shifting positions near Kupiansk, Lyman, and Sumy.

Heavy fighting continues across the eastern front line, with the Ukrainian General Staff reporting 221 combat engagements in a single day. Intense Russian assault operations remain focused on the Pokrovsk and South Slobozhan sectors, where Ukrainian forces repelled more than 20 attacks targeting multiple settlements.

Simultaneously, tactical shifts persist across several sectors. Ukrainian forces reported advances on the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk and tactical progress in the Lyman sector, where up to 200 square kilometers could return to Ukrainian control. Conversely, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed the capture of several settlements near Sumy, while Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov explicitly rejected claims of Ukrainian progress in the Zaporizhzhia region. Strikes were also reported against ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
