Heavy combat persists across Ukrainian frontline amid contrasting claims

Heavy fighting continues across Ukraine as Kyiv reports over 200 daily engagements, while both sides report conflicting tactical developments along the frontline.
Intense clashes persist across multiple sectors of the Ukrainian frontline, with Ukraine’s General Staff reporting more than 200 combat engagements in a single day. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled over 20 assaults near Pokrovsk and faced repeated engagements in the South Slobozhan sector.
Simultaneously, reports indicate tactical progress by Ukrainian troops along the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, alongside potential gains near Lyman. Conversely, Moscow presents a contrasting picture of the battlefield. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported advances toward Sumy, while Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly dismissed claims of Ukrainian progress in the Zaporizhzhia region. Meanwhile, strikes targeted ammunition depots in the Kyiv region.
