Turkish civil society groups and independent media outlets have published August monitoring data on gender-based violence, alongside legal developments in a Siirt homicide case.

According to the We Will Stop Femicide Platform, 22 women were killed and 33 died under suspicious circumstances in August, with over 55% of the fatal incidents occurring in private homes. Independent news portal Bianet separately reported that male violence resulted in at least 25 women killed and 71 injured during the same period, based on press monitoring.

In judicial developments, the Siirt 1st High Criminal Court accepted an indictment against five suspects in connection with the 2024 murder of a mother of four.
