Trump urges Ukraine and Russia to reach peace deal before winter

United States President Donald Trump has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a peace agreement before the onset of winter. Speaking after a telephone conversation with Putin, Trump stated he believes the Russian leader is seeking a resolution, adding that an agreement between both nations would be beneficial.

Zelensky characterized his subsequent discussions with Trump as "positive and productive," noting that Kyiv and Washington share the objective of concluding the war before winter. Despite the diplomatic exchanges and public calls for a swift end to hostilities, no concrete framework or formal terms for negotiations have been detailed by any of the involved parties.
