US President Donald Trump urged Russia and Ukraine to negotiate a peace deal before winter, following talks with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

US President Donald Trump stated he is confident Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks a peace agreement to resolve the war in Ukraine. Following a telephone conversation with Putin, Trump urged both the Russian leader and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to negotiate a deal prior to the onset of winter.

Zelensky described his subsequent meeting with Trump as "positive and productive," stating on social media that both nations share the goal of ending the conflict before winter arrives. Ukrainian officials indicated optimism that hostilities could cease in the coming months. Despite these diplomatic discussions, no formal terms or framework for potential peace talks have been publicly released by any of the involved parties.
