Rescue operations are underway along the Nepal-Tibet border following devastating flash floods that killed at least 469 people and left up to 1,500 missing.

Search and rescue operations are continuing across the Himalayan border between Nepal and China's Tibet region following catastrophic flash floods caused by a mud and rock collapse. Nepali police reported that the country's death toll has climbed to 469, while Chinese authorities previously confirmed three fatalities in Tibet. Between 1,000 and 1,500 individuals remain missing across the affected regions, including hundreds of foreign nationals from countries such as the United Kingdom, India, Australia, and the United States.

The surge of mud and water severely damaged infrastructure, destroying bridges, roads, power projects, and entire settlements, leaving remote communities isolated. Rescuers face ongoing difficulties due to severe weather conditions and the risk of further flooding and secondary landslides.
