A vote recalculation in Berlin reallocated a direct mandate to the AfD, while broader trends show shifting alignments among young and migrant voters.

Following a vote transmission error in a Spandau constituency, an administrative recalculation transferred a direct mandate in the Berlin state parliament from Bettina Meißner of the CDU to Tommy Tabor of the AfD. The correction subsequently reduced the overall size of the legislature by five seats through overhang adjustments.

The adjustment occurs alongside broader voter trend shifts across Berlin. Pre-election polling placed Die Linke ahead at 22 percent, backed heavily by younger demographics. Meanwhile, reporting highlights lower overall turnout among voters with migration backgrounds, even as some young residents of Turkish descent express interest in the AfD due to concerns regarding public safety and economic stability.
