At least 95 people have died and hundreds of tourists remain missing following massive flash floods and landslides along the Nepal-Tibet border.

Death tolls continue to fluctuate following severe flash floods and landslides along the Himalayan border between Nepal and Tibet. Nepalese authorities confirmed that at least 95 people have died, though earlier casualty figures ranged between nine and 31 as information emerged.

Hundreds of individuals remain missing across affected valleys, including up to 341 foreign tourists from nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, India, and Malaysia. Officials reported that a seismic event triggered a major ice collapse, damming the Lhenda Khola river until it burst into surrounding settlements.

Search and rescue operations utilizing military helicopters are underway to navigate destroyed infrastructure and reach stranded populations. Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah urged national solidarity following the catastrophe.
