Hungary orders comprehensive audit of state ties with tech firm 4iG

Hungary's Tisza administration has initiated an audit of state contracts with 4iG, while reviewing the tech group's role in a €500M EU satellite project.
Hungary's new Tisza administration has formally ordered a comprehensive audit examining all financial, ownership, and contractual ties between the Hungarian state and technology conglomerate 4iG. The official gazette resolution mandates a thorough investigation into direct and indirect agreements involving the firm and its subsidiaries.
Concurrently, Science and Technology Minister Zoltán Tanács confirmed a €500 million investment into the European Union's IRIS² satellite network. However, 4iG's participation as a primary contractor for the space initiative remains under review. To control public messaging while the evaluation takes place, the government has imposed a communication ban on officials regarding 4iG. Responding to the transition, 4iG framed itself as a state "partner" while maintaining a cautious stance.
