German authorities are searching for a suspect linked to sabotage attempts against electrical substations in North Rhine-Westphalia and explosive devices found in Saxony.

German law enforcement agencies have intensified their search for a suspect involved in coordinated sabotage attempts targeting the national electrical grid.

The ongoing investigation follows the discovery of launching mechanisms positioned near power substations in Dormagen and Weisweiler, located in North Rhine-Westphalia. Authorities also reported finding explosive devices in Saxony. According to Cologne police, investigators are currently examining a confession letter that links the recent Dormagen incident to previous infrastructure attacks across Brandenburg and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Police and public prosecutors from multiple federal states are coordinating efforts to identify the perpetrator and secure critical energy infrastructure against further disruption.
