German authorities have broadened a nationwide manhunt after additional launching devices and a confession letter were discovered at energy substations across multiple states.

German police are continuing a nationwide manhunt for a suspect linked to a series of sabotage attempts targeting the country's electricity network. Law enforcement confirmed that suspicious launching devices were recently discovered near power substations in Dormagen-Gohr and Weisweiler in North Rhine-Westphalia, following a tip from a passerby. Similar explosive devices were also uncovered at sites in Saxony.

Investigators recovered an admission letter at the Dormagen facility that explicitly references previously reported infrastructure attacks across North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg. Federal and state law enforcement agencies, including prosecutors in Cologne and Brandenburg, are coordinating operations to secure vulnerable energy infrastructure and identify the perpetrator.
