German police are searching for a suspect after launching devices and explosives were discovered near power substations in several federal states.

German law enforcement agencies are continuing a nationwide search for a suspect linked to repeated sabotage attempts targeting the country's electricity infrastructure.

Investigators in North Rhine-Westphalia confirmed that launching devices were discovered near power substations in Dormagen-Gohr and Weisweiler. Similar explosive setups were also uncovered in Saxony. Authorities recovered a letter claiming responsibility at the Dormagen site, which directly links the incident to earlier infrastructure attacks across North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg.

A passerby initially reported a suspicious object in Dormagen, prompting forensic examinations. Police and public prosecutors across multiple federal states are coordinating the manhunt while officials work to reinforce security around critical energy installations.
