EU leaders warn against hybrid threats following the identification of two suspects linked to explosive devices at Leipzig airport.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned against hybrid threats on bloc territory, declaring "Non tolleriamo attacchi sul suolo Ue, pronti a rispondere." Her statement comes amid heightened European security concerns following reports from Danish intelligence regarding potential Russian sabotage targeting industrial infrastructure.

Concurrently, German investigators identified two suspects linked to explosive devices at Leipzig airport. The individuals were described as a Russian national with a Latvian passport and a Belarusian national with Russian documents. The Belarusian suspect acquired a Schengen visa through Italy, though Italian security officials confirmed he never physically entered Italy.
