European nations heighten security over Russian hybrid threats while Moscow targets Kyiv with drone strikes and threatens Ukraine's power grid.

European security agencies are increasing vigilance following reports of heightened Russian hybrid activities across the continent. Investigators at Germany's Leipzig airport identified two suspects linked to Moscow after a drone explosion, while Danish intelligence cautioned that Russian operatives are prepared to carry out industrial sabotage inside Denmark. In response to mounting security incidents, European Commission leadership stressed that sabotage on European territory will not be tolerated.

Concurrently, Russian forces executed drone attacks on Kyiv for a third straight night, igniting several fires across the Ukrainian capital. Russian defense officials confirmed plans to launch a broader campaign targeting Ukraine's energy grid, framing the planned offensive as retaliation for recent Ukrainian strikes against Russian oil refineries and infrastructure.
