US President Donald Trump hosted Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the White House for broad talks on Ukraine, the Middle East, and regional security during Xi's state visit to Washington.

US President Donald Trump welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington for a three-day state visit, marking Xi's first state visit to the United States in over a decade.

During bilateral discussions at the White House, the two leaders addressed key global security issues, including the war in Ukraine, instability in the Middle East, and tensions on the Korean Peninsula. The talks followed recent requests from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urging Washington to press Beijing to use its diplomatic leverage over Moscow to achieve a de-escalation in Ukraine. Analysts noted that Beijing might seek trade or economic concessions from the US administration in exchange for adjusting its stance on Russia.
