Ukrainian forces report advances near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian authorities claim territorial progress near Sumy and deny Ukrainian success in Zaporizhzhia.

Clashes continue across multiple sectors of the front line in Ukraine, with both sides reporting divergent operational developments. According to recent reports, Ukrainian troops are making gains along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with military officials expected to confirm control over roughly 200 square kilometres near Lyman.

Concurrently, Russia's Ministry of Defence reported capturing several frontline settlements on the approaches to Sumy, alongside strikes targeting ammunition depots in the Kyiv region. On the southern front near Zaporizhzhia, General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, publicly dismissed claims of Ukrainian military progress. The contrasting reports reflect ongoing high-intensity combat and shifting positions across northern, eastern, and southern sectors.
