Active fighting continues across Ukrainian fronts as Moscow claims progress near Sumy while Kyiv reports advances north of Kupiansk and near Lyman.

Active combat continues across multiple frontline sectors in Ukraine, marked by conflicting operational claims from both sides. On the Sumy axis, Russia's Ministry of Defence reported securing several settlements leading toward the city of Sumy. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River, north of Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian officials indicated that an official announcement is expected confirming control over roughly 200 square kilometres of territory. To the south in Zaporizhzhia, General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, publicly dismissed reports of Ukrainian territorial advances, asserting that defensive lines remain intact. Additionally, strikes were reported targeting ammunition storage facilities within the Kyiv region.
