A vote recount in Berlin's Spandau district awarded a direct seat to the AfD, while voter trends revealed strong youth support for Die Linke and lower turnout among migrant communities.

Following a recount in a Spandau precinct, Alternative for Germany candidate Tommy Tabor secured a direct seat originally attributed to the Christian Democratic Union. The correction, stemming from an administrative transmission error, reduced the total seats in Berlin’s state parliament by five.

The election highlighted shifting demographic trends across the capital. Pre-election surveys placed Die Linke in the lead at 22 percent, driven by strong backing from younger electors. Conversely, voter turnout among residents with migrant backgrounds remained notably lower in districts like Neukölln. Despite historically low participation, some young voters of Turkish descent expressed support for the AfD, citing concerns regarding public order, crime, and economic stability.
