US midterm elections underway with early results and voting disruptions

Americans cast their ballots in midterm elections determining congressional control, marked by early voting turnout, weather relocations in Florida, and initial returns.
Voting is taking place across the United States in midterm elections that will determine the balance of power in Congress for the remainder of the presidential term. Voters are deciding all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 Senate seats, and dozens of state governorships.
Before election day, data showed that a significant portion of the electorate had already cast early ballots. Weather disruptions were also reported, with severe flooding in Florida forcing officials to relocate over 21 voting locations. As initial poll closures occurred in eastern states, early results began emerging in several key competitive races.
