US prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian operatives over plots targeting Ukraine allies, while Danish intelligence warns of Russian sabotage against defense firms.

United States federal prosecutors in Manhattan have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with directing a covert network to carry out targeted assassinations and sabotage against allies of Ukraine across Europe and North America.

According to the Department of Justice, the suspects recruited individuals globally to track and execute attacks against perceived supporters of Kyiv, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. Authorities confirmed that all five accused operatives remain at large.

Simultaneously, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service stated at a Copenhagen security conference that Russian hybrid warfare has escalated, citing physical sabotage targeting Danish defense companies that produce equipment for Ukraine.
