US indicts five alleged Russian agents over European and domestic murder plots
US prosecutors unseal charges against five alleged Russian intelligence agents accused of orchestrating murder and sabotage plots targeting allies of Ukraine.
United States federal prosecutors have unsealed charges against five individuals connected to Russian intelligence services for allegedly orchestrating targeted assassinations and sabotage operations across North America and Europe. According to court documents unsealed in Manhattan, the covert network recruited and paid operatives globally to conduct surveillance and execute attacks against individuals supporting Ukraine.
Separately, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service stated that Russian hybrid warfare operations have directly targeted domestic defense firms supplying military hardware to Kyiv. All five suspects charged in the US indictment remain at large, and Russian state authorities have not publicly responded to the allegations.
