US prosecutors have unsealed charges against five alleged Russian agents, while a German court convicted a Ukrainian national in a parcel bomb plot.

United States federal prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian intelligence agents for their roles in a Kremlin-directed assassination and sabotage campaign targeting pro-Ukraine figures across North America and Europe. According to an unsealed indictment in Manhattan, the fugitives recruited international operatives to conduct surveillance, targeted violence, and arson, including a June 2024 attack in Prague.

Simultaneously, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national involved in a Russian-orchestrated scheme to send parcel bombs embedded with GPS trackers across European shipping routes. Authorities stated the logistics plot aimed to undermine public confidence in security networks. Both cases highlight expanding Western law enforcement actions against state-sponsored covert operations linked to the conflict in Ukraine.
