US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents over targeted attacks on Ukraine supporters, while a German court convicted a Ukrainian national in a linked parcel-bomb plot.

United States federal prosecutors unsealed charges in Manhattan against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives for conspiring to carry out targeted assassinations and sabotage across North America and Europe. According to the Department of Justice, the network recruited individuals globally to surveil and execute attacks on prominent supporters of Ukraine, including a June 2024 operation in Prague. Authorities confirmed that all five suspects remain at large.

In a related legal action, a regional court in Stuttgart, Germany, convicted a Ukrainian national for his role in a parcel-bombing scheme linked to a Russian state entity. German authorities reported that the operation involved sending packages equipped with GPS tracking devices to destabilize public confidence in European security networks.
