Ukrainian troops make gains near Kupyansk amid heavy front-line combat

Ukrainian forces have conducted targeted infantry operations north of Kupyansk along the right bank of the Oskil River, leveraging electronic warfare to disrupt Russian drone capabilities. This follows reported Ukrainian counter-clearing operations near Lyman, where military analysts anticipate official confirmation of gains covering up to 200 square kilometers.

Simultaneously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported intense combat across multiple sectors, recording over 250 daily engagements. Russian forces maintained high assault activity near Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman in attempts to breach Ukrainian positions.

Conflicting territorial claims persist elsewhere along the front. Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported capturing several settlements near Sumy, while top Russian military commander Valery Gerasimov denied Ukrainian tactical successes in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, Ukrainian authorities reported targets hit in the Kyiv region, including ammunition depots.
