Heavy fighting continues across the frontline in Ukraine, with the Ukrainian General Staff reporting over 220 combat engagements in a single day. Clashes were especially severe in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defense forces repelled more than 20 Russian assaults. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops advanced on the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with officials preparing to confirm control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Conversely, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed to have captured several settlements on the approaches to Sumy.
