Ukrainian forces reported over 220 combat engagements in a single day, claiming gains near Kupiansk and Lyman while Russia reported advances near Sumy.

Clashes across Ukraine remain intense, with Ukrainian military authorities reporting more than 220 combat engagements in a single day. Russian forces concentrated heavily on the Pokrovsk sector, launching over 20 assaults that Ukrainian defensive lines reportedly repelled.

Ukrainian troops made progress north of Kupiansk along the Oskil River, while officials prepare to confirm the liberation of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Meanwhile, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed to have seized several settlements approaching Sumy. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly rejected claims of Ukrainian advancement. Russian strikes also hit ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
