Ukrainian personnel voice concerns over logistics, rotations, and award distribution
Ukrainian frontline personnel highlight ongoing issues with supply logistics, soldier rotations, and award distribution, as the Defense Ministry launches new medical training.
Ukrainian frontline personnel and veterans continue to highlight systemic management challenges within the armed forces, citing logistics, rotations, and recognition as key strain points.
Drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov stated that unit leaders must independently resolve supply shortages daily due to a lack of institutional accountability. Meanwhile, frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that prolonged deployments without rotation are causing deep frustration, remarking that troops feel like "serfs" while civilian concerns are prioritized. Veteran focus groups reported by Ukrainian media also criticized medal allocations, claiming honors disproportionately go to headquarters staff instead of frontline soldiers.
In response to medical demands, the Ministry of Defense announced the completion of the "Tryzub" international battlefield surgery course, aimed at enhancing trauma care and establishing a combat medicine competence center.
