Ukrainian forces conducted infantry clearing operations north of Kupiansk along the Oskil River after neutralizing Russian drone capabilities in the area. Across the wider front, Ukraine's General Staff reported over 250 combat engagements within 24 hours, with intense Russian assault attempts concentrating on the Lyman, Kostiantynivka, and Pokrovsk sectors.
Meanwhile, conflicting claims emerged elsewhere along the front line. Russia's Ministry of Defense reported capturing several settlements on the approaches to Sumy, while Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov denied assertions that Ukrainian troops made gains in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Farther from the front, Russia launched an overnight strike using 138 drones. The aerial barrage caused civilian casualties in Kyiv Oblast and damaged a monastery in Kherson Oblast.
